Job Description


Techademics is seeking a STEM coordinator!  The STEM coordinator performs a variety of supervisory and administrative tasks while overseeing the successful implementation of STEM curriculum and instructional practices. He/she  is responsible for providing leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of STEM programming to promote student learning and teacher effectiveness for the benefit of the system’s total educational program. He/she is responsible for providing district-wide leadership in PK–12 STEM curriculum, instruction, and explanation.


Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborating cross departmentally on STEM initiatives school wide as part of the school’s curriculum and the use of STEM in the classrooms.
  • manages a high-functioning team that is able to execute effectively and meet deadlines.
    Directs the key activities within the STEM Department.
  • Assist the education manager, classroom teachers, and other school peer groups to design PBL’s (project-based learning) opportunities both on-site and off-site in alignment with the curriculum.
  • Develop, organize, coordinate, and provide training for administrators and staff related to STEM best practices, NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards), Common Core Integration strategies, and assimilation into the classroom.
  • Provide support and technical assistance to involved partners.
  • Work with administration, guidance, and teaching staff to enhance parent engagement.
  • Participate in available STEM trainings and experience STEM topics.
  • Collaborate with Transition and Career Coordinators and align curriculum to ensure integration of academic and technical education with 21st century skills.
